Lovely again.  Yellowhammer has come.  Got to gardening early and dug quite a lot of the lawn.  Went out reluctantly, but glad I did as I saw Mr Freeman who offered me his allotment.  After going to tea at Mrs Piles went to see Mr Jones, Hillcrest Greystone Park Secretary of Allotment Assoc – find that he is ‘Tubby’ the postman.  Paid 8/6 for year.  Sharp frost by night.
