This blog is a transcript of my grandmother’s diary of 1952. The red diary was published by ‘My Garden’, Hillier Road, Guildford, Surrey in conjuction with Charles Letts & Co Ltd, Diary House, London.
My grandmother was an avid gardener who, at the time of writing, was living in Dwygyfylchi in North Wales. She was quite ill, the diary starting while she was in Christie hospital in Manchester, but she doggedly worked on when the weather allowed.
